The idea had been rolling around in my head for years, I just didn't know how to get it out. In March 2014 I had coffee with a marketing professional I was thinking about hiring. We were discussing how we might work together, and as I began to lay out my hopes and dreams for the next great leap forward in my business as an evidential medium, hypnotist, and minister, Mike looked at me with what can only be described as confusion.
"I'm not sure I understand the direction you want to go," said he.
That conversation (and two that followed), helped me to codify that direction. In all three of my vocations I was seeing clients who felt stuck. They were running over the same ground; they were getting romantically involved with the wrong person -- again. They were bored senseless with their jobs, but admitted to feeling ambivalent about everything. No passion. No motivation. No ideas.
Followed by the same question: "What's wrong with me... is this normal?"
My conversations with Mike over the course of the next few months helped me formulate exactly what direction I wanted to go in. I wanted to help my clients truly understand and accept that there was nothing wrong with them, that they were operating from pure perfection in spirit. With that knowledge, they could turn down the volume on self-criticism, self-judgment, and in many cases, self-loathing. They could begin to understand what direction they wanted to go in, and be empowered to take steps to get there.
And so my magnum opus was born. Fix Your Screwed-Up Life -- Recover Your Inherent Self-Esteem and Start Living the Life of Your Dreams was written to help people understand and operate from the whole, unbroken, unique part of themselves. It's easy to do, once you identify that part of you.
In my book I offer three Action Plans to help you navigate through the miasma of low self-esteem, even if you think you don't have it. There are Action Plans for the Thinker, the Feeler and the Believer -- the three types of clients I've identified in my work.
Thinkers are logical, rational people who aren't convinced that the imagination has the power to change lives, but do understand that mental discipline can move mountains.
Feelers are more comfortable with metaphysical impressions, employing the Law of Attraction, energy fields, and help from the sixth sense.
Believers put their faith in God, and trust that if they could only grow in love for Him (or Her), they could discover how to live abundantly in health, wealth, and love. Each Action Plan offers exercises and free recorded self-hypnosis or meditation audio files to begin practicing healthy self-esteem.
